 PREFACE TO

The Retiree Exodus to the Philippines

Most people probably don’t know it, but retiree aged seniors from the US, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and many other countries are flocking to the Philippines to find an inexpensive place to live and to find a younger beautiful woman to be with during their remaining years. This e book, the website http://www.retireinphilippines.com and the Yahoo Group Retireinphilippines  together provide a boots on the ground explanation of what they will have to do, pay and suffer through to find the happiness they can't find back home.  Please understand that everything from immigration to medical to living conditions and costs and pretty much everything else is evolving.  This is why the Yahoo Group and website are critical sources of information that pertain to when you want to go to the Philippines, not just today.

This E book may be the only one that is a true and accurate accounting of life in he Philippines as it really is today.  Don't be taken in by those books and websites that make the Philippines to good to be true to sell you a book.  I live in the Philippines and my goal is to make your transition smooth with accurate information and fewer surprises.

If you might be one of those men that is worried about how and where you can live out your retirement years happy and content with no money worries, then look to the Far East at the Philippines.  Philippine Immigration is reporting that thousands of foreign men are pouring in every month.  What do they know that you don't?

Why Pensioners Love it in the Philippines

It takes a long time to get used to all the differences one faces adapting to life in the Philippines.  I’ve been angry, confused, depressed and defiant at times, but I never thought of leaving.  The reason for that is that most of the reasons I was angry, confused, depressed or defiant were the same reasons the Filipinos should have had that would make them feel the same way.  But most just accept life as it is handed to them here with a smile.  Enough food, adequate shelter and a loving, do anything for you, family is enough.  Laugh, sing, party and celebrate life together.  Don’t worry about tomorrow  Que Sara Sara!  Don’t Worry, Be Happy!  Both songs written by Filipino ‘want-to-be’ song writers it seems.

The Philippines is number one on the corrupt Asian countries list, but most foreigners know it and don’t trust anyone in the Philippines already based on what other foreigners have documented and say.  Most of the ways a foreigner can be tricked out of his money he doesn’t need to be involved in, so it is easy to avoid the scams.  Most often it is a family member who does it.  After that the whole family is put on notice and lessons have been learned.

What far out weighs the differences between the life pensioners had and the one they would have is the no worries free time, the low cost of living, the always warm weather (although it rains a lot), available cheap transportation, available young gorgeous women (who can melt you with a smile and aren’t shy), the thousands of miles of beach and all the good times to be had! If they marry a good Filipino woman, then the gorgeous women menu is just for looking; but, they get a full time lady that treats her man like a king and whose family will always take care of them and never put them in a nursing home.

Evidently the first visit is mostly great because most make the arrangements and come back.  Those same men eventually opt to give the Philippines a try and most just settle in and enjoy the new happy place they’ve found
